Five positions are assigned to A3 Crisis Services, providing mobile crisis response in the community. The Mental Health Specialist II works collaboratively with Mental Health Clinicians, Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Mental Health Peer Support Workers, Substance Abuse Counselors, and Outreach Interventionists to provide de-escalation, stabilization, and linkage to services for adults experiencing a behavioral health crisis in the community. Two positions are assigned to the Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT) program (also known as Laura's Law) and will work on a team with Mental Health Clinicians, Mental Health Peer Support Workers, Substance Abuse Counselors, Psychiatric Nurses/Psychiatrists, Substance Abuse Counselors, and other MHS II's to coordinate and provide client care guided by the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) model. Duties include community outreach in multiple settings across the county; care management, linkage to county and community services, individual and group counseling, and court testifying as needed.
