This includes planning, pre-design, design, and construction phases for active transportation projects many of which are funded through Caltrans active transportation program grants. The incumbent will also be called upon to perform technical Traffic Engineering related duties such as traffic signal timing, speed surveys, warrant analyses, and review of development related traffic studies. As a registered professional engineer and/or traffic engineer, the Senior Transportation Engineer is responsible for in-house design work including work performed by subordinate staff.
