Description Assistant/Associate Professor: The School of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences (SLHS) at San Diego State University (SDSU) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Audiology. SLHS has an undergraduate program, a CAA-accredited program in speech-language pathology, a CAA-accredited program in audiology conducted jointly with University of California - San Diego (UCSD), and a joint SDSU-UCSD Ph.D. program in Language and Communicative Disorders. Qualifications Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Audiology or a related field, excellence in teaching, strong research abilities, and a commitment to working in a multicultural environment with students from diverse backgrounds. Clinical experience, certification (CCC-A), and/or eligibility for state licensure are highly preferred. Primary responsibilities include teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels, supervising Au.D. doctoral research projects, and pursuing a research program in audiology. The ideal candidate would have research expertise in one or more of the following areas: pediatric audiology, auditory processing disorders, balance disorders, tinnitus, or (re)habilitation including sensory aids. If appropriate, the candidate would also be able to participate in our Center in Clinical and Cognitive Neuroscience at San Diego State University (established 2013), which involves faculty from various academic units at SDSU, including SLHS, the Department of Psychology, and a neuroimaging center on campus.
