Introduction This open competitive examination is being given to fill one full time vacancy in Health Care Services-Correctional Health and to establish an eligible list to fill future vacancies in Correctional Health Services. Candidates must pass a rigorous background investigation and pre-employment drug screening to be considered for this position. Correctional Health Services provides health care to adult inmates at the San Joaquin County jail facility, located at 7000 Michael N. Canlis Blvd, French Camp, CA 95231. The care is mandated by Title 15, Division 1, Sub-Chapter IV of the California Regulatory Code. To work in the County jail facility, applicants must pass a rigorous security clearance which is a condition of employment . Employees in this classification and assigned to the Correctional Health facility receive a 5% pay supplement. About the Positions The Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician will serve as an integral member of an interdisciplinary treatment team in the Valley of the Moon Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP) and work within the therapeutic milieu. They will facilitate individual and group treatment in partnership with STRTP Residential Counselors. They will be responsible for planning, implementing, and providing individual, group, and family counseling with youth and adults in various settings as well as developing, evaluating, and overseeing the implementation of treatment plans. Clinicians will also provide emergency intervention and consultation, as well as crisis management as needed.
