We have one (1) Materiel Manager - Project position to fill in Contra Costa Regional Medical Center.

The Materiel Manager - Project acts under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, planning, organizing, and directing a department-wide materials management program for county departments. This position will be supporting the County's response efforts to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Project positions are exempt from classified service and work in State and/or Federally funded project positions administered by Contra Costa County. This position is funded through the CARES Act for COVID-19 and is for a limited term based on funding. You may be released from employment once the funding ceases.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in business administration, public administration or a closely related field.

Experience: Either 1) four (4) years of full-time or its equivalent experience in a central materials management program, at least two (2) years of which must have been in an administrative or supervisory capacity; or 2) four (4) years of full-time or its equivalent experience as a buyer in a central purchasing department performing technical purchasing work.

Substitution: Additional qualifying experience of either type noted above may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of four (4) years. Six (6) months of additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required academic major.

Selection Process

CONVICTION HISTORY

After you receive a conditional job offer, you will be fingerprinted, and your fingerprints will be sent to the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). DISASTER SERVICE WORKER

All Contra Costa County employees are designated Disaster Service Workers through state and local law. Employment with the County requires the affirmation of a loyalty oath to this effect. Employees are required to complete all Disaster Service Worker-related training as assigned, and to return to work as ordered in the event of an emergency.
