The eligibility list established may be used to fill the current and/or upcoming vacancies within this classification for up to six (6) months. The ideal candidate will provide engineering services for the design of storm drain improvement projects including Flood Control, Drainage, Street and Grading improvements. Incumbents plan and execute assignments, independently coordinate projects with engineers and other technicians and coordinate engineering functions within the office. Work assignments cover a wide range of technical engineering duties requiring considerable judgment and ingenuity. Incumbents determine individual work priorities and apply established procedures, techniques, standards, process flows, project reporting requirements and guidelines set forth by management. Incumbents perform specialized technical engineering work of an advanced nature and function under minimal supervision; and use considerable judgment in making independent decisions. This position, under general supervision of the Titles Section supervisor, will be responsible for creating new records in the Permits Database for incoming water right applications, proofs, and relinquishments. This position also performs archival restoration for the files and documents in our office. Additionally, this position will review and process Report of Conveyance submittals, assist the public with title related inquiries, assist Water Resource Specialists with technical and statutory review of water right applications and maps, and assist in annual field work collecting water level measurements. Special Requirements This position requires a valid driver's license at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
