The Librarian I - Teen & Adult Services position is responsible for creating and delivering innovative programming, providing reference and readers’ advisory to all ages, and supporting outreach efforts. Description and Essential Functions Connected by Amazing Employees The City of Murrieta is accepting applications for the position of Part-Time Librarian I to fill two (2) current vacancies for the Murrieta Public Library Division. One (1) vacancy is in Youth Services , and one (1) vacancy is in Adult and Teen Services . This position will be expected to typically work every Friday and Saturday and serve as Librarian-in-Charge in the absence of the Library Manager and Supervising Librarians. The eligibility list established may be used to fill upcoming vacancies within this classification for up to one (1) year. Adult and Teen Services Librarian PT- develops, facilitates, and provides the full range of community library services, programs, and outreach for adults and teens. The City does not belong to the Social Security system. Therefore, enrollment in the PARSARS 457 retirement program is mandatory and requires a contribution of 7.5% of base earnings. The City contributes 1.3%, and the employee contributes 6.2% of base earnings; contributions are made each pay period on a pre-tax basis.
