DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS: Deputy District Attorney I is the entry level classification in this flexible series. Initially under close supervision, incumbents learn and perform the less difficult and non-controversial assignments in the District Attorney's Office under the direction and guidance of the District Attorney and more senior attorneys.
