THE POSITION The Equipment Mechanic III works closely with the Equipment Maintenance Supervisor in the daily operations as well as provides assistance and training to Mechanics in the Shop when complex repairs arise. IDEAL CANDIDATE STATEMENT The City of Sacramento Fleet Division is seeking an Equipment Mechanic III. The ideal Equipment Mechanic III candidate should be able to perform highly technical mechanical work on a wide variety of municipal equipment. The ideal candidate should also have experience working in a unionized workforce and training staff in a lead capacity or higher, while providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate should be goal-oriented, able to adapt to changing priorities, and able to communicate effectively.
