The City of Laguna Beach is excited to announce that we are now seeking motivated applicants for the position of Trolley Fuel Washer (Part-Time) . This position reports to the Transit Supervisor or his/her designee. The Trolley Fuel Washer performs a variety of maintenance tasks for the Transit Division's Trolley Service including moping, sweeping, detailing, and pressure washing. Schedule: Employees in this position must be available to work as scheduled on weekdays, weekends and select holidays (six-to-eight-hour shifts). Shifts are scheduled during the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. Monday through Sunday. Examples of Duties What you'll do: Fuels, disinfects and washes interior/exterior trolleys and division vehicles. Performs simple mechanical maintenance as needed. Qualifications Any combination of education and experience demonstrating the ability to perform the duties of the position is considered qualifying. A typical combination is as follows: Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of hire. Experience: One (1) year of experience in driving larger vehicles is desirable. Basic knowledge of the use of common hand tools, and previous experience washing and detailing vehicles is also desirable. License/Certificate Requirements: A valid California Driver's license and an acceptable driving record are required.
