One (1) year of field experience as an Animal Control Officer is desirable. Responsible for monitoring, managing, and restoring the natural and cultural resources of Government Canyon State Natural Area. Works closely with regional staff to assist at other sites throughout the region. Responsibilities include sustaining and supporting wildlife and plant communities and addressing problems associated with the management of natural resources at the natural area. Plans and carries out various assignments of both natural and cultural resource management which may include, plant and animal analysis, inventory, monitoring, and management - including endangered avian and karst species; research; prescribed burning, sensitive site management and monitoring, invasive plant management, herbicide application and feral animal control.
