Job Summary The Lead Data Engineer is responsible for SJSU’s Campus Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence implementation. This position will play a key role in the research, design, architecture, creation, development, implementation and maintenance of Campus Data Warehouse. This includes identifying and pulling data from 500+ individual databases across SJSU and curating them into a single data source in order to facilitate data-driven decisions. Partner cohesively with the broader Insights leaders across campus concerning the alignment capabilities. Oversee the implementation of analytic methodologies including segmentation, predictive modeling, advanced statistical methods, regression, experimental design, etc. Lead and own the interaction with campus technical support staff and customers to provide reliable services. Proposes and leads analytics and organization intelligence initiatives in the Data and Analytics area. Defines appropriate analytical models necessary to support use cases and leverages the power of predictive insights and analytics. Defines and enables teams to implement augmented intelligence and machine learning algorithms and models for efficient processing and delivery of analytics. Under general direction, this Engineer (Electrical) performs a wide variety of complex engineering duties involving the construction and/or rehabilitation of wastewater treatment facilities and collection systems Pump Stations. Serves as the Resident Engineer for OC San on major Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) and smaller projects. Provides technical information to other project team members, researches problems and issues in a timely and professional manner, and performs related work as required. This Engineer will be responsible for answering and processing Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Change (RFC); evaluating and processing contractors' Progress Payments monthly; coordinating construction submittal and/or shop drawing review comments; leading progress and special meetings with contractors and others, producing accurate and timely meeting minutes; creating Requests for Proposal (RFP), negotiating changes, and issuing Field Change Orders (FCO); evaluating baseline schedules, monthly schedule updates, and Time Impact Analyses (TIAs); and formulating and evaluating designed solutions to issues encountered during construction.
