THE POSITION The City of Ventura is hiring! We are now accepting Lifeguard I-II/Swimming Instructor applications for the Summer 2024 Aquatics Program . Our complex features a 50-meter competition pool, 25-meter recreation pool, a zero-depth water playground, and two 20-foot waterslides. As a Lifeguard II/Swimming Instructor, you must have the ability to: Instruct swimming lessons for all age groups and ability levels following American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor techniques and lesson plans. Considerately and with patience, enforce pool rules, providing a safe and accident-free aquatics environment. Assess swimmers’ abilities to avoid unsafe conditions. Administer CPR when necessary.
