Under direct to general supervision, positions in this class research, plan, and coordinate a variety of resources for the safe and successful completion of approved wastewater systems’ maintenance activities and projects; to assist with and schedule the appropriate acquisition, delivery, and application of necessary resources within approved timeframes; and to monitor the efficiencies and effectiveness of resource allocations and utilization during the course of designated work projects. One year of experience employed by the County of Sacramento in the class of Planner Scheduler I or performing supervisory duties over maintenance and operations, engineering, or engineering technician work performing duties related to the repair, maintenance, inspection, cleaning, construction, and/or operation of the underground pipeline systems and lift stations or wastewater treatment plant systems. Or: 2. Two years of experience employed by the County of Sacramento in the class of Electrician, Sanitation District Maintenance and Operations Senior Technician or Stationary Engineer II or above performing duties related to the repair, maintenance, inspection, cleaning, construction, and/or operation of the underground pipeline systems and lift stations or wastewater treatment plant systems. Or: 3. Three years of experience employed by the County of Sacramento in the class of Senior Engineering Technician, Mechanical Maintenance Technician, Stationary Engineer I, or Underground Construction and Maintenance Specialist or above performing duties related to the repair, maintenance, inspection, cleaning, construction, and/or operation of the underground pipeline systems and lift stations or wastewater treatment plant systems. Or: 4. Three years of experience in an industrial, construction, or governmental setting as a Planner Scheduler. Or: 5. A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Business Administration, Construction Management, Project Management, or other field closely related to the intent of the class and either (1) One year of experience in an industrial, construction, or governmental setting as a Planner Scheduler or (2) One year of experience supervising employees performing work related to the repair, maintenance, inspection, cleaning, construction, and/or operation of underground pipeline systems and lift stations or wastewater treatment plant systems. Or: 6. Certification in Project Management that is recognized by the Project Management Institute or other accredited institution and either (1) Two years of experience in an industrial, construction, or governmental setting as a Planner Scheduler or (2) Two years of experience supervising employees performing work related to the repair, maintenance, inspection, cleaning, construction, and/or operation of underground pipeline systems and lift stations or wastewater treatment plant systems. The Positions: Electric Utility Department: The Compliance Manager for the Electric Utility (SVP) will lead the department’s North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Compliance Program. Based on SVP’s NERC Registrations as a Transmission Owner, Transmission Operator, Distribution Provider, Transmission Planner, Generation Owner, and Generation Operator, the Compliance Manager monitors NERC Reliability Standard projects and works with business units across the utility to plan a strategy for meeting compliance with upcoming regulatory changes. This position also performs ongoing reviews of the utility’s current practices, and operational events for compliance with existing reliability standards. The NERC Compliance Manager interfaces with the Western Electric Coordinating Council (SVP’s Compliance Enforcement Authority) for compliance spot checks, annual self-certifications, and the triennial NERC/WECC Audit. The Compliance Manager will prepare the utility for upcoming audits, coordinate compliance with SVP’s neighboring utility as needed, manage contracts as well as contractors and support staff. The Positions: Electric Utility Department: The Compliance Manager for the Electric Utility (SVP) will lead the department’s North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Compliance Program. Based on SVP’s NERC Registrations as a Transmission Owner, Transmission Operator, Distribution Provider, Transmission Planner, Generation Owner, and Generation Operator, the Compliance Manager monitors NERC Reliability Standard projects and works with business units across the utility to plan a strategy for meeting compliance with upcoming regulatory changes. Assistant Department Heads and Division Managers can receive $200/month (Up to $500 with City Manager approval) Tuition Reimbursement Program: Up to $2,000 per fiscal year for tuition reimbursement Employee Assistance Program: Confidential counseling to employees and dependents. Up to maximum of five (5) consultations per family member per incident per year City paid benefit Retiree Medical Reimbursement Program: Employees who retire from the City with at least ten (10) years of service shall receive reimbursement to help cover retiree single health insurance premiums. The reimbursement maximum includes the PEMHCA minimum. Up to age 65, retirees are eligible for reimbursement up to$416/month in 2024(amount adjusted annually) After age 65, retirees are eligible for reimbursement up to $249/month in 2024(amount adjusted annually) Alternate Work Schedule: An employee shall be eligible to work a 9/80 alternate work schedule according to the conditions, criteria, and requirements set forth in City Manager's Directive 71. Requests to work a 9/80 schedule shall be made through or by the Department Head to the City Manager. The City Manager must approve the schedule and the City Manager or Department Head (for employees other than Department Heads) may terminate the schedule at anytime.
