(Audit Division, Las Vegas office)

The Nevada Gaming Control Board's Audit Division is seeking qualified applicants for an entry-
level Agent. This is an unclassified full-time position within the State of Nevada system.

This is an open recruitment, open to all qualified persons.

Under immediate and general supervision of a Senior Agent or other designee, conducts field
audits functioning as a staff auditor; analyzes internal accounting control systems, and performs
other financial analyses; may function as an agent-in-charge of a field audit; and performs
related work as required.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in
Accounting; or
• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in
Accounting or Business Administration and to have completed the 150 semester hour
requirement to qualify for the CPA license as specified by the Nevada State Board of

Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or
Business Administration, and completion of the following courses (or their equivalent):
• Intermediate Accounting I & II
• Introduction to or Principles of Accounting I & II
• Advanced Accounting or Intermediate Accounting III
• Auditing
• Tax Accounting
• Cost/Managerial Accounting
• Business Law (1 semester) or Commercial Transactions Law for Accountants

Position Location: Las Vegas
Nevada's largest city, Las Vegas, has a population of approximately 615,000. Las Vegas,
located in Clark County (population, 2.2 million), is in close proximity to Mt. Charleston in the
Spring Mountains, Red Rock National Conservation Area, Lake Mead, and the Hoover Dam.
Sunshine and recreational opportunities abound, including golfing, climbing, biking, off-roading,
and hiking, while the city's lively nightlife, shopping, and culture offerings of renowned
restaurants, shows, concerts and theatrical performances rarely need introductions.

Up to $78,264.00 Salary reflects Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS) contributions by
both the employee and the employer. An employer-paid contribution plan is also available with a
reduced salary.

Benefits: Paid medical, dental, vision care, life and disability insurance programs; eleven paid
holidays per year; three weeks of vacation; three weeks of sick leave; state defined benefit
retirement plan, tax-sheltered deferred compensation plan available. State employees do not
contribute to Social Security; however, a small Medicare deduction is required. Long-term
