Licenses or Certifications: None Notes to Applicants Overview of the Position: This role will be a vital part of the team tasked with administering the City’s endpoint management systems. Responsibilities encompass overseeing server systems, managing account creation, utilizing account management and automation tools, providing end user support to city staff and Executive City Management (Mayor & Council, City Managers Office), deploying endpoint systems, managing endpoint patching and software deployment, overseeing active directory, mobile device, and group policy management, implementing role-based access management, maintaining hardware and software assets, managing printer systems, and supervising endpoint support and remote support tools. Additionally, the position will serve as a primary point of contact for customers, conduct hardware and software installations and maintenance, troubleshoot and repair hardware and software issues, address help desk requests, and deliver end user training. Furthermore, this role will involve creating and handling requests within the City’s ServiceNow IT Service Management system. Some after-hours and weekend work may be required as necessary. This has been designated as an Essential Employee position. In the event of a city-designated extraordinary situation or emergency condition, essential employees provide services that impact the public health, safety, utility services, and welfare of members of the Austin community and other employees, as well as ensure the continuity of essential operations.
