Job Description

Compliance/Enforcement Investigators perform investigative and enforcement functions to monitor compliance and enforce State and/or federal laws or regulations pertaining to a specific program or regulatory area. Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training. Position will be located within the Department of Business & Industry, Nevada Transportation Authority (NTA), Enforcement Unit. Work location is based in Las Vegas, Nevada, with travel (up to 50%) to the surrounding area. Position will represent the NTA at meetings and hearings as well as conduct investigations into and inspections of certificated carrier and will be responsible for patrol of the southern areas of Nevada to enforce all NRS, NAC, and CFRs that are under the NTA's authority. Other responsibilities will include conducting surveillance of persons or companies providing unlicensed transportation of passengers and goods and assisting in the processing of drivers' permits and background investigations.
