Responsible for executing the strategic planning and information technology efforts for the Law Enforcement Division and the State Parks Police Officers, including administration of the records management system and other law enforcement systems and applications. This position is responsible for performing an array of statewide technical and administrative functions to ensure all members of the law enforcement division are adequately equipped, trained, and credentialed to access necessary platforms to perform the functions of their jobs. Provides statewide end user support for all technology based platforms. Tracks and monitors statewide compliance with certification requirements, laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Serves as administrator of online data management systems. Maintains and submits records and reports to the appropriate officials. Communicates and works collaboratively with internal staff from the Information Technology, Radio/Fleet, and Property work groups. Provides information and advice to the Law Enforcement Division Headquarters' staff and field personnel in areas of responsibility to maintain statewide enforcement consistency. Responsible for assisting in emergency management and Homeland Security operations. Works under minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division and Branch rules, regulations and procedures. Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor's degree. Experience: Four years of experience in technology-related program management. Two years of experience in online data management systems, data analysis, or database development and maintenance work. NOTE: Experience may have occurred concurrently. Licensure: Applicant must possess a valid class State driver's license. Must be able to complete within 90 days of employment, the CJIS Security Awareness, NCIC Terminal Agency Coordinator (TAC) and TCOLE 3807 TCIC/NCIC Criminal Justice Practitioner Certification Must pass a national fingerprint-based record check. Any felony conviction is an automatic disqualifier. Misdemeanor convictions may be disqualifier. Note: Retention of position contingent obtaining and maintaining required certifications. ACCEPTABLE SUBSTITUTIONS Education: One additional year of experience in online data management systems, data analysis, or database development and maintenance work, may substitute 30 semester hours of the required education with a maximum substitution of 120 semester hours. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: Major coursework from a bachelor's or post bachelor's degree programs from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or closely related field. Experience: Prior experience in a help desk environment in support staff in critical need situations.
