Lake County Information Technology is seeking an experienced Sr. Systems Engineer to join the Service Delivery Team.
The Sr. Network Systems Engineer is a supporting member of the team who is the final escalation point within the Service Delivery team. This role is capable of troubleshooting and resolving the most difficult and complicated issues as well as monitors and maintains our various IT infrastructure and systems.
Work is performed in a customer service unit where teamwork and customer relations are paramount, creating a positive customer support experience and building strong relationships within the various departments of the County as well as within the Service Delivery team.
To be successful in this position, the candidate must demonstrate advanced knowledge of desktops, servers, storage (cloud and prem), networks, peripherals and software as well as have a strong understanding of ITIL Framework. Candidate will have a proven track record of assisting users using all available resources including researching, troubleshooting and documenting all steps taken to either resolve or escalate the issue.
Exceptional customer service skills and professional demeanor are a must. Candidate must be energetic, responsible, self-motivated and able to work in a Team environment under minimal supervision with a focus on the customer experience.

We are looking for an individual who has 5-7 years’ progressive IT experience including a minimum of three years supporting/designing complex infrastructure both on premise and cloud. Ability to constantly adapt, learn and support new technologies.
