Duties Description Under the supervision of a higher-level manager, the Park Manager 2 supervises programs and operations within Gantry Plaza State Park. The incumbent performs the following duties: • Identifies community recreational needs and works with the community, school groups, local government officials or friends groups to develop and implement programs, schedules, and special events. • Assigns, schedules, supervises and evaluates the effectiveness of contractors and staff. • Inspects, evaluates and assures the readiness and availability of equipment and facilities to meet requirements for scheduled activities. • Supervises recreation and administrative staff and participates in recruitment and training programs. • Inspects cleaning and maintenance of the parks grounds. • In conjunction with other maintenance staff and the Park Director 2, plans major repairs and preventative projects; implements cleaning and routine maintenance schedules. • Assists higher level managers to plan and budget for equipment, repairs and supplies needed to support existing and planned programming & events; orders needed supplies and materials. • Requests needed repairs and ongoing maintenance and coordinates them to minimize adverse impact on customer services; makes recommendations to higher level management for policies, procedures, training and facility improvements to enhance the customer experience and promote customer satisfaction. • Assures that all Agency, Regional and Park standards for service delivery, customer service and employee conduct and performance are consistently met. • Prepares, updates, and executes a comprehensive plan of preventative maintenance, regular maintenance and repair for systems, structures, fixed equipment, and grounds at Gantry Plaza State Park. • Coordinates with higher level management and regional capital facilities staff, as directed, to assure that priority needs for maintenance and repair are promptly identified and addressed in a manner which avoids disruption of park operations to the greatest extent feasible. • Completes necessary purchasing requests and prepares and/or compiles any required supporting documentation. • Evaluates park facilities for energy conservation and sustainable operations. • Sets standards, and assigns tasks based on the daily operational needs of the park. • Works closely with volunteers, the community, and vendors to assure NYS Parks’ mission is always met. • Carries out other related duties and responsibilities as assigned; may also serve as shift supervisor for all programs and operations. THE DEPARTMENT The Public Works department consists of approximately 72 full time employees and is responsible for maintaining and improving the city’s streets, parks, water and stormwater systems, traffic signals, trees, fleet and public buildings. The Engineering Division is responsible for managing the City’s capital improvement program and for the review of development projects for compliance with city standards, ordinances, permits, regulations, and statutes. Watershed and Stormwater Management Division (WSMD): Oakland has a large and complex watershed and storm drainage network that includes over 40 miles of open creek channel, approximately 400 miles of storm drainpipes and culverts, 18,000 structures, 11 pump stations, and a growing number of green stormwater infrastructure (GSI) features and full trash capture devices. Many of the storm drainage assets are over 80 years old and are reaching the end of their serviceable life. The Watershed and Stormwater Management Division (WSMD) manages projects and programs involving, but not limited to, storm drainage rehabilitation and replacement, hydrology, hydraulics, erosion and sediment control, stream restoration, stormwater BMPs, GSI, and NPDES stormwater permit requirements. An Assistant Engineer I will work with professional staff, engineers, storm drainage maintenance staff, and construction inspectors to deliver capital projects. Additionally, this position provides technical support to both City maintenance staff and the City Attorney’s office related to various stormwater and drainage issues. Construction Management Division: Construction Management in Public Works provides construction management and inspection services for capital improvement projects for both the Public Works and Department of Transportation departments. Department of Public Works Wastewater Engineering Management Division: Oakland Public Works owns and operates over 934 miles of sewer mains, ranging from 6 inches to over 66 inches in diameter, 28,500 sewer structures, and 11 pump stations. Construction Management Division: Construction Management in Public Works provides construction management and inspection services for capital improvement projects for both the Public Works and Department of Transportation departments. Position Description The purpose of this position is to provide clinical and clerical support to the school-based clinics and to ensure customer service needs are met in a professional manner. This position also assists the Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician’s Assistant (PA), MD, Nutritionist (RD), Health Educator (HE), and mental health staff with client (customer) care as needed. Job Duties and Responsibilities Prepare clients for visit, obtaining height, weight, BMI, vital signs as needed and current concern. Document results in electronic medical record -NextGen.Assist medical providers in clinic treatment procedures such as IUD (intrauterine device) insertions, dressing wounds and immunizations.Perform lab tests as directed by medical provider including urinalysis dipstick, rapid strep, hemoglobin, urine pregnancy tests. Perform venipuncture as needed.Prepare lab specimens for lab courier.Administer over the counter medications as directed by medical providers and document in medical record.Ensure billing encounter forms accurately reflect provider, diagnoses and services rendered in the electronic medical record billing charge template(superbill).Greet all clients as they enter the clinic for appointments and verify and/or change demographic and insurance information in the electronic practice management system. Utilize electronic medical record/practice management system to record clinical data, register and schedule appointments, review records and run regular reports.Verify insurance in state database and immunizations in Minnesota Immunization database and in the MPS student record (Discovery) at very visit. Assist clients in completing registrations and Minnesota Family Planning Program applications as indicated. Make referrals to agencies to assist with health insurance coverage, as needed.Maintain all client records/charts and other correspondence regarding clinic inquiries. Utilize electronic medical record/practice management system to record clinical data, register and schedule appointments, review records and run regular reports.Maintain confidentiality of all client data. Adhere to HIPAA policies. Maintain waiting room environment in such a way that is conducive to confidentiality. Complete MA only visits including immunizations. This includes contraceptives, vaccines, and condoms among other services provided.Participate in Public Health Emergency Preparedness training and response as needed and assigned by the department. WORKING CONDITIONS: Medical clinic in a high school setting. Working with adolescent client base. Required Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION: Completion of Medical Assisting program from an accredited school. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE Two years of related experience. Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Must have current medical assistant certification or registration (CMA, RMA or NCMA) within one year of SBC employment. Also requires completion of 60 credits every five years to ensure continuing certification. More health systems are requiring certification in order to accept coding of various procedures.
