What You'll Be Doing Join #TeamWake as an Advanced Practice Provider in the Pediatric Clinic! The Health Clinics Divisionof Wake County Health and Human Services Department has an opportunity in our fast-paced public health clinic. We are looking for a Physician Extender (Pediatric Provider, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) with experience working on a multidisciplinary care team in a clinical setting. This position provides pediatric care to patients from birth to 21 years of age. In this role, you will: Conduct routine health screenings, offer newborn screenings and care of sick children Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team achieving patient/client outcomes and goals as established by WCHHS Provide patient/client anticipatory guidance, primary and sick care Provides clinical supervision to public health nurses This position is located within a fast-paced public health clinic and works with a diverse patient population and would follow NCIP guidelines. Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience) Graduation or expected graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program, as well as North Carolina Board eligibility Spanish language skills Pediatric experience in a clinic or outpatient setting Experience working on a care team in a clinic setting Experience working with an EMR including visits by telemedicine How Will We Know You're 'The One'?
