Newly appointed candidates will be required to pass a medical examination given by a City physician. Hearing must be normal without correction and vision should be at least 20/200 in both eyes uncorrected, with normal color vision. THE POSITION NON CAREER PART TIME/SEASONAL Pool Managers oversee all operations at an assigned aquatic facility. All candidates must have the ability to swim with proficiency and endurance, possess knowledge of current preventive lifeguard techniques including CPR, First Aid, and water rescues. THE POSITION The primary responsibility of Water Quality Chemists within Water Quality Laboratory and R&D section is the testing and analysis of City drinking water to ensure protection of public health. City Water Quality Chemists enhance the efficiency and resilience of the City’s water system by participating in research on water treatment process optimization, climate change impacts on the water treatment process, and method development for contaminants of emerging concern.
