Performs administrative and professional work overseeing the Green-Up Program and management of the Department's Grounds Maintenance and Horticulture operations. An incumbent assigned to this position plans, implements, and directs program activities including: preparing and administering budget; collecting revenue collection and processing accounts payable; securing outside funding and personnel; analyzing and designing new landscape projects that improve public green spaces; managing and training Section personnel and volunteers; and specifying materials and equipment needs. Plans, directs, and coordinates all activities to ensure the program supports City of Orlando goals and objectives with a focus on sustainability. Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Assistant Division Manager for Environmental Management and is reviewed through reports, conferences, and results achieved.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, Natural Resource Management, or a related field
required, plus two (2) years of experience in landscape design or similar work
required, which includes two (2) years of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License
required.

If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
- Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
- Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
- Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
- Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
