The JobSan Bernardino County is hiring for
Legal Support Assistants. Legal Support Assistants perform journey-level, specialized legal clerical work in support of attorneys within a County law office or law division. Responsibilities include preparing, reviewing, and processing a variety of legal documents, digital media, records, and correspondence in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Other related duties may also be assigned as needed.
The resulting eligible list may be used to fill vacancies throughout San Bernardino County. Candidates should indicate the specific offices they are willing to accept an assignment.
Please do not select any offices with which you are not willing to work. This list will be used exclusively by the
Public Defender's office. For additional information, refer to the Legal Support Assistant job description.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Background: A background investigation will be conducted, including a DOJ/FBI fingerprint check and drug screening.
Travel: Travel throughout the County may be required and employees will be required to make provisions for such transportation.

Option 2 (any of the following): - Completion of an SBC Certificate Program
- Office Assistant Certification
- Twelve (12) semester units in an accredited institution
- Completion of a Legal Administrative Assistant, Legal Secretary or Paralegal program from a recognized occupational training program or community business college

Desired QualificationsExperience in a legal environment. Incumbents with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines are highly desired.
