Job Description Location : 123 Robert S Kerr
Salary : up to $48,100.00, based on education and experience
Full Time /Part Time : Full time
Work Schedule : Monday - Friday
Primary Hours : 8-5
Position Description: This position is assigned responsibilities involving professional level work in the maintenance, analysis, interpretation and management of financial accounting data. This includes the preparation and posting of various financial information and analysis and presentation of financial data, and preparation of financial statements and expenditure reports, review and approval of various vouchers and invoices for payment, analyzing budget requirements, preparing claims for payment and other similar activities.
Position Responsibilities/Essential Functions: - Maintain travel records; both electronic and paper files.
- Review incoming invoices to validate required information included on invoice .
- Review and reconcile various financial transactions; examine invoices, expense vouchers and other source documents to verify obligations and post appropriate records.
- Prepare financial reports, statements and schedules of standard design.
- Review inbox and respond to inquiries from employees and OMES as appropriate and necessary
- Provide knowledgeable and professional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Enter travel claims onto the travel log accurately
- Enter invoices onto the accounts payable log
- Maintain travel log, ensuring accurate information is recorded.
- Ensure duplicate claims are not entered onto travel log or accounts payable log .
- Maintain accounting records including ledgers, journals, registers, and individual accounts; classify and code revenues and expenditures for entry into appropriate accounting records.
- Send confirmation emails to travelers when claims received
- Maintain files of source documents and other information related to accounting activities.
- Audit travel claims ensuring accuracy when claims are sent to OMES
- This position will work with both Accounts Payable and Travel
- Serve as back up to the accounts payable Administrative Assistant
- Being present at the office is an essential function of the job.
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Education and Experience required at this level consists of one year of clerical, bookkeeping, or technical accounting experience plus three years of experience in performing technical accounting work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting completion of six semester hours in accounting or bookkeeping at an accredited college or university for each six months of the required experience; or the completion of a vocational training course in accounting for the one year only of the required clerical, bookkeeping or technical accounting experience. Plus demonstrated ability to work independently and perform a wide range of technical accounting functions.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: This position is set in an office environment. While performing the duties of the job, employees are frequently required to stand, walk, lift and reach. Being present in the office is an essential function of this position.
