Epic Supervisor/Project Managersprovide supervision and technical direction for the design, implementation, administration, maintenance and support of multiple Epic modules within the new EHR and supporting technologies.

Certification: Incumbents must possess and maintain Epic certification in their assigned module. Some positions may require incumbents to obtain and maintain additional vendor specific certifications on the applications supported. Additional Epic certifications must be obtained within six (6) months of notification from a supervisor and/or management team. The Clinical Informatics Department reserves its right to extend beyond six (6) months if the core training class schedule falls outside of this period. If certification is not obtained after six (6) months of notification or the dedicated extended time allowance, the incumbent’s employment will be terminated.
All applicants must attach a copy of their Epic Certification if currently certified. Minimum RequirementsCandidates must meet
both the following Education and Experience requirements:
Education: An Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
Substitution : One (1) additional year of qualifying experience (listed below) may substitute for required education.
Experience: Three (3) years of experience on an Epic Implementation or similar implementation for a large healthcare organization.
Substitution(s) :
- One (1) year as a lead on an Electronic Health Record team may substitute for one (1) year of the required experience.
- An Epic Certification will substitute one (1) year of required experience.
Desired QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have an Epic Curriculum Certification or Security Certification and experience supervising a team with continuous system updates and system build for an electronic health record system at an acute care facility.
Selection ProcessThere will be a
competitive evaluation of qualifications based on the information provided in your Application and the Supplemental Questionnaire. Applicants that are placed on the eligible list will be required to take a Logic Test provided by EPIC and hosted by San Bernardino County. The most highly qualified candidates will be referred to the department for an interview.
