    Candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Public Administration, Communications, Political Science, or a related field, and two (2) years of experience in customer service, public administration, community relations, or a related field.

    Licenses and Certificates : Valid Texas Class "C" Driver's License or equivalent from another state by the date of appointment.

    General Purpose

    Under general supervision, serves as a direct representative of the assigned City Council District Office. Responsible for representing the assigned District Office with professionalism, empathy, and effectiveness, ensuring high-quality constituent services and acting as a liaison between the community and city departments.

    Typical Duties

    • Responds promptly and professionally to constituent inquiries and concerns via phone, email, and in person.
    • Tracks and manages constituent casework and follows up with city departments to ensure resolution in a timely manner.
    • Prepares written correspondence and summaries of constituent issues and outcomes.
    • Builds and maintains positive relationships with constituents, neighborhood associations, community organizations, and city departments.
    • Assists in organizing and attending District events such as town halls, community meetings, celebrations, and neighborhood gatherings.
    • Represents the District Office at public events and meetings when required.
    • Drafts talking points, reports, and other communication materials as assigned.
    • Supports the Council Representative with special projects, data collection, and administrative tasks.
    • Maintains organized digital and paper files relating to constituent services, community outreach, and internal office matters.
    • Collaborates with internal staff to provide timely updates to the Council Representative regarding community concerns and issues.
    • Demonstrates a proactive attitude and ability to follow through on assignments independently and as part of a team.
