    The beautiful City of Anaheim, located in the heart of Orange County, California, is a vibrant and diverse city known for its family-friendly atmosphere, iconic attractions, and strong community spirit. Anaheim is known worldwide as the home of the Disneyland Resort, including Walt Disney’s original Disneyland Park. Professional sports teams include the Angels Baseball team, and the Anaheim Ducks Hockey Team. Anaheim will also host Olympic volleyball in 2028.

    The Community Preservation & Licensing Division promotes and implements standards to improve the quality of life, safety, and aesthetics in the community through education, cooperation and responsive enforcement. The Division’s programs include code enforcement, environmental enforcement, parking enforcement, short-term rental enforcement, the Quality Rental Housing Program, and administration of the City’s Coyote Management Plan, Taxicab Administration program, Business License and Transient Occupancy Tax programs. The Division also manages the City’s graffiti removal, shopping cart retrieval services, and animal control contracts.

    The Community Preservation and Licensing Division Manager will lead and oversee all services and activities within the Community Preservation and Licensing Division, providing critical support to the Planning and Building Director and serving as a key member of the City’s leadership team. The ideal candidate is an experienced and forward-thinking leader with a strong grasp of regulatory environments, evolving code enforcement practices and compliance strategies and tools. They possess the insight to navigate complex community dynamics while striking a thoughtful balance between upholding municipal standards and addressing the needs and concerns of residents and businesses. With strong communication skills and a confident public presence, this individual is articulate, persuasive, and comfortable representing the City in high-profile discussions. Their ability to engage authentically with the community while maintaining a strategic and solutions-oriented mindset positions them as an effective and respected voice for the City.

    The annual salary range for the incoming Community Preservation and Licensing Manager is $134,986 - $202,480; placement in this range is dependent upon qualifications. Effective June 20, 2025, salaries will increase 5%. The City also offers an attractive benefits package.
