About the Position:Provides research, technical assistance and analysis in support of the Division's financial planning and reporting.
Anticipated starting salary for this position may be up to mid-point depending on candidate’s experience and internal equity. The full salary range is listed above and mid-point for this position is $83,969.60 /annually Minimum QualificationsEducation and Experience- A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited educational institution in Accounting, Finance, Business or Public Administration or a related field.
- Two years of professional-level experience analyzing financial data, to include conducting extensive research, applying statistical methods, identifying trends and anomalies, and preparing and presenting verbal and written summaries.
- Experience utilizing various computerized financial systems/software applications.
- Any equivalent combination of education and/or job-related experience that meets the minimum qualifications may be substituted.

Essential FunctionsPerforms duties and responsibilities commensurate with assigned functional area which may include, but are not limited to, any combination of the following:
- Assists with contract preparation, development and administration relating to department-specific operations and consumption; i.e. development agreements.
- Gathers pertinent facts, makes thorough analysis and provides technical assistance utilizing the database.
- Develops and maintains innovative information and reporting systems to expedite flow of information and data between City departments.
- Contributesto the development of City policy related to department planning and related issues, providing reports and conducting research and analysis.
- Prepares comprehensive detailed written reports including consumption flows, analysis of rates, budget analysis and other demand projects.
- Prepares and analyzes a variety of administrative and financial reports, City ordinances, rules and regulations.
Work Environment/Physical Demands- Operate a variety of standard office equipment including a computer, telephone, calculator, copy and fax machine requiring continuous and repetitive arm, hand and eye movement.
- Lift and carry materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
