    The Position

    Health Care Coordinators perform professional work related to Medicaid program operations and auditing providers to ensure compliance with program policies and regulations.

    Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation.

    This opening is for a Health Care Coordinator 1 (Underfill for Health Care Coordinator 2) within the Division of Health Care Financing and Policy (DHCFP) District Office, in Las Vegas. This position reports directly to a Health Care Coordinator 4-RN. This position will provide case management services to disabled children eligible under the Katie Beckett Eligibility Option as determined by the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services. Case management includes assessment of level of care (LOC) for new referrals and redeterminations, oversight and coordination of services, contact with providers, monitoring quarterly costs and a minimum of one home visit annually. This position also requires quarterly telephone contacts with the recipient's parent or legal guardian. Travel requirement for this position is less than 50%.

    In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
    Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) Licensure as a Social Worker or professional licensure or certification in a medical specialty applicable to the assignment. Special Requirements A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant. The Examination Application Evaluation Exam The exam will consist of an application evaluation. It is essential that applications include detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience. The most qualified applicants will be contacted by the hiring agency for interview.
