    Job Summary:

    Responsible for ensuring safe use by guests of elevated water slide at Winona Outdoor Pool. Must be available to work some evenings, weekend and holiday hours. The salary range for this position is $14.81- $18.36 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. This opportunity will remain open until filled.

    Essential Functions:
    • Enhances Loveland Park and Recreation image and ensures a quality visit for guests by pleasantly and professionally ensuring guests follow waterslide rules at Chilson Pool.
    • Handles emergencies according to standard procedures.
    • Inspects slide and slide tower to ensure safety.
    • Cleaning, maintenance or administrative tasks.
    • Promotes Parks and Recreation by educating users of potential opportunities and services available.
    • Directs public to proper locations; provides general facility use instructions; enforces facility policies and procedures by informing guests of existing policies.

    Other Job Functions:
    • May be required to cross train into other areas.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:
    • Must be a minimum of 16 years of age at time of hire.
    • Customer service experience or training preferred.
    • Current CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Must possess excellent customer service skills.
    • Must communicate effectively and diplomatically with guests, co-workers and facility management team.
    • Must react quickly and correctly in emergency situations.
    • Must demonstrate good judgment and decision-making in handling difficult situations involving facility guests.
    • Must follow both written and verbal direction.
    • Must make sound judgments, exercise conflict resolution, and exhibit patience when dealing with stressful situations.

    Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
    • Frequent l ight to moderate physical effort that includes frequent standing or walking or maintaining arms and hands in the same position for repetitive tasks. Frequently works with light objects and light hand tools.
    • Frequent e xposure to heat and noise along with working outside in the elements.
    • Occasional moderate to considerable physical effort that includes working from ladders in awkward positions. Frequent use of light or medium weight objects (e.g., 25-50 lbs) and use of medium weight tools.
    • Occasional ex posure to hazards that are predictable or well protected against.

    Non-Benefit Eligible Benefits Package Includes:
