Job Location: This position will be located at 3815 Magnolia Ave., St. Louis, MO 63110.
Essential Functions: The incumbent must be able to perform the functions below either with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Coordinate work with each division concerning tasks to be performed, scheduling of custodians, and area or custodian needs.
- Ensure that all work areas are cleaned.
- Plan, organize, direct, and follow up on all custodial work performed. Directly supervise each custodian, define standards, and evaluate performance.
- Solve problems such as those caused by illness or termination of custodial workers, poor performance and/or other personal/organizational issues. Receive assistance from School Business Director as needed.
- Perform all functions assigned to custodial workers; train and assist custodial workers as required.
- Determine needs and budgets for equipment used by custodians. Ensure that adequate supplies are available for custodians. Coordinate on budgeting with School Business Director.
- Ensure the continuity of custodial work throughout summer months; ensure action to meet special needs of school administration.
- Coordinate recycling program for various trash items.
- Perform related work as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: - High School diploma or GED certificate.
- Three years experience in custodial services
Preferred Qualifications: - Team lead or supervisory experience.
- Training, certification, and/or education in continuous process improvement programs such as Lean Six Sigma as well as completion of Missouri Way, Leadership Academy, and similar programs is preferred.
