- Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a related field, plus three (3) years of experience in construction, engineering, architecture, or related work.
- Experience may substitute for education up to a maximum of four (4) years.

Position Overview:This position will support the work of delivering projects that directly impact the day-to-day quality of life in Austin. The Project Controls Division helps to keep these projects on time, on budget, and within scope by monitoring progress and providing critical performance data and forecasts to Project Managers throughout the Capital Project Delivery lifecycle.
In this role, you will gain a robust understanding of that complete project lifecycle and a deeper appreciation for all the difficult work that goes into making Austin such an incredible place to live, work, and play. Among other tasks, you will be using your talents to research and document existing procedures, organize and create process maps, and continually update and maintain that information for ready reference. You will work with very experienced Project Managers, Project Controllers, Performance Improvement Experts, and subject matter experts from other City departments, so your professionalism and communication skills will be critical.
This is a new position within a new division that is offering a new level of services to the Capital Delivery Services department. You can expect to find satisfaction in supporting the creation of a standardized governance framework that will drive compliance and efficiency as we serve the citizens of Austin.

Duties, Functions and Responsibilities
Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Assists in the development and monitoring of project and/or program budgets by completing assignments that may include processing a pay application or monitoring and updating the assigned project budget. Coordinates and evaluates plans, criteria, schedules, etc. for a variety of projects, Programs, and plans or a division and/or section activities. Assists in the resolution of conflicts and difficult situations by providing supporting documentation, policies and procedures.
