Position Summary
Under the general supervision of the Director of Presidential, this position serves as a Resource Analyst for the division. The incumbent works closely with the other Resource Analysts and Division of the President's leadership to perform budgetary and personnel functions for the division that require initiative, independent judgment, and knowledge of the budgetary and personnel processes of the University.
The incumbent is responsible for reviewing the work produced by numerous individuals within the division to ensure accuracy and completion of documents. As necessary, the incumbent will revise documents or return to staff for revisions.
The incumbent works with vice presidents, chief of staff, associate vice presidents, directors, managers, analysts and/or administrative support of academic and administrative units within the division to ensure personnel and financial resources are administered in a manner that supports the strategic goals of the division and departments.
FLSA: Exempt (Not eligible for overtime compensation)
Anticipated Hiring Range: $4,598 per month - $5,417 per month
CSU Classification Salary Range: $4,598 per month - $8,318 per month

Minimum Qualifications
Entry to this classification requires general knowledge and skills in the applicable administrative and/or program field with a foundational knowledge of public administration principles, practices, and methods. This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelor's degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.

Experience
1. Experience working with budget/finance, including budget tracking, projection, and budget recommendation.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
2. Knowledge of human resources policies and procedures
3. Expertise in using office software packages, technology, and systems.
4. Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures independently and use judgment and discretion to act when precedents do not exist.
5. Ability to troubleshoot most office administration problems and respond to all inquiries and requests related to work area.
6. Ability to understand problems from a broader perspective and anticipate the impact of office administration problems and solutions on other areas.
7. Ability to analyze operational and procedural problems and develop, recommend, and evaluate proposed solutions.
8. Ability to perform business math, analyze budgetary data, and make accurate projections requiring some inference.
9. Ability to effectively write and present own reports.
10. Ability to effectively handle interpersonal interactions at all levels and handle highly sensitive interpersonal situations.
11. Ability to use negotiation and persuasion skills to achieve results and expedite projects.
12. Proficiency in using and operating standard office equipment.
13. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
14. Effective organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
15. Ability to learn new skills to meet office needs.

Preferred Qualifications
17. Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Management, or similar field.
18. Experience working in an institution of higher education.
19. Experience using campus programs such as PeopleSoft Common Management System (CMS), CFS Finance Access, CMS Human Resources, and Zoom.
20. Knowledge of the university infrastructure, policies, and procedures.
21. Knowledge of university finance, procurement, travel, and payroll processes.
22. Knowledge of office software packages and technology for special projects (Microsoft Publisher, Adobe InDesign, Visio).
