Job Overview
The Clinical Placement Support Coordinator coordinates the clinical placement of students in the undergraduate nursing program under the direction of the Director of the School of Nursing, as a member of the Clinical Placement Team. This position is responsible and accountable for the full scope of activities from planning through execution of the student clinical placement process. Administrative work in this position involves access to and use of student and faculty personal identification information. This position serves as a central resource for clinical agencies, as well as for CSUSM faculty, students, and other university departments. It is foundational to the success of the School of Nursing, as clinical placements are a regulatory requirement of the school’s Board of Registered Nursing license and an accreditation requirement for the programs according to the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. It is a key operational role that ensures students meet their academic requirements.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position, which will lead toward permanent status following the successful completion of a probationary period.

Pay, Benefits, and Work Schedule
Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $3,864 - $4,227 per month
CSU Classification Salary Range: $3,864 - $6,072 per month
Salary is commensurate with the background and experience of the individual selected.
This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. In addition, 14 paid holidays are offered each year; 13 scheduled on specific days and a Personal Holiday that may be taken any time during the year.
