    • Develop and support Oracle applications to meet user and data needs.
    • Analyze and resolve system issues, enhancing product functionality.

    • Provide technical and analytical support to operational users.

    Position Information
    • Full-time, benefits eligible, permanent/probationary position.
    • Position is designated exempt under FLSA and is not eligible for overtime compensation.
    • Standard SDSU work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs.
    • This position is approved for partial telecommuting with onsite work in San Diego.

    Department Summary

    The SDSU OneIT Community is vital to the university’s success by delivering core technology services across our campuses, colleges, administrative areas, and auxiliary units. Our mission is to support innovation in teaching, research, and service by strategically developing infrastructure, responsibly managing IT assets, actively engaging with our community, and fostering collaboration.     The ERP Systems unit within the Information Technology Division leads and supports critical enterprise-level transactional systems for the university. These systems include my.SDSU (PeopleSoft) Campus Solutions, PeopleSoft HCM, Oracle E-Business Suite for financials, Hyland OnBase Imaging and Workflow, and other related and legacy systems in use. ERP Systems is collectively responsible for database administration, analysis and development, application system administration, and application security.

    Education and Experience

    To enter this classification, a basic foundation of knowledge and skills in applications programming and systems analysis and related programming support functions is a prerequisite. This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science or business, or equivalent training and applied experience. Foundation knowledge and skills for the Analyst/Programmer, depending on the position assignment, may include working knowledge of a specific industry standard applications programming language and knowledge of standard systems analysis techniques.

    Key Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of directly related experience, or in lieu of a degree, a total of seven years of directly related professional experience.
    • Four years of progressively responsible experience as an Oracle PL/SQL programmer working in a multi-platform Unix/Linux environment designing, developing, and maintaining Oracle E-Business Suite. This includes interfaces, integrations, reporting, etc. between Oracle E-Business Suite and 3rd party platforms.
    • Working experience and proficiency with coding using SQL & PL/SQL languages and database tools such as SQL Developer, TOAD, PL/SQL Developer.
    • Experience implementing and supporting Jaggaer Procure-to-Pay solutions, integrating those with Oracle E-Business Suite financial modules.
    • Working experience and proficiency with Oracle XML Gateway for XML message creation and consumption.
    • Familiarity and experience with administering and supporting Oracle Workflow Business Event System.
    • Working experience and proficiency with SQL*Plus, SFTP, SSH, Cron

    Compensation and Benefits

    Starting salary upon appointment is not expected to exceed $9,592 per month.

    Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.

    CSU Classification Salary Range: $5,158 - $12,730 per month.
