    Future Salary Increase

    The Department of Public Health (DPH), Clinical Operations is seeking a compassionate and service-oriented individual to fill a Clinic Operations Supervisor position. The Clinic Operations Supervisor manages and coordinates the overall operations at Public Health clinics throughout the County. The position is responsible for overall health center and clinic functions and activities, i.e., monitoring function and flow to ensure optimal service delivery, addressing patient complaints, supervising, training, assigning, and evaluating personnel in the daily operation of the health centers and clinics; managing billings, monitoring purchases/expenditures, preparing schedules for subordinate staff; coordinating, delegating and directing staff; interviewing, hiring and participating in the disciplinary process of employees.

    The current vacancy exists within the Public Health Hesperia Health Center. The eligible list established from this recruitment will be used to fill current and future vacancies throughout the Public Health Department.

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

    Pre-Employment Process: Prior to appointment, applicants must pass a background investigation which includes verification of employment history and education, fingerprinting, physical exam, and drug screening.

    Travel: Travel throughout the County may be required and employees will be required to make provisions for such transportation.

    Minimum Requirements

    Experience: Two (2) years of experience in an outpatient clinical or community healthcare organization setting, directly supervising healthcare support staff and patient service delivery and performing one (1) or more of the following: budget/financial analysis, organizational analysis, patient quality improvement, policies and procedures or compliance with licensing and accrediting standards.

    -AND-

    Education: A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in healthcare, business or public administration, public health or other relevant field of study.

    Note: Qualifying degree or coursework must have been completed at a college or university accredited by an accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education. Degrees or coursework completed outside the U.S. must be accompanied by an evaluation report from a reputable credential evaluation service showing equivalency to degrees or coursework completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education.

    Desired Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will posses experience working with at risk and underserved populations; addressing social determinants of health and its effect on health equity and health literacy. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have strong knowledge, understanding and respect of socio-cultural experiences.
