DescriptionThe Charleston County Human Resources Department is looking for a proactive, intuitive, forward-thinking professional, to work directly with the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to support all aspects of the Human Resource Department and the County. Understand the philosophy and priorities of the CHRO and anticipates needs to meet those.
HIRING RANGE: $25.40 - $28.36OPEN UNTIL FILLED - APPLICATION REVIEW BEGINS IMMEDIATELYDuties and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities: * In order to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of this position, the selected candidate will physically
need to be “onsite” as designated by the Chief Human Resources Officer. administrative assistance to the
Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO).
* Completes customer service duties at the front desk when needed.
* Completes duties of the HR Project Officer when needed.
* Maintains the HR Suite and storage areas in a neat and tidy manner.
* Conducts research, compiles data, and prepares documents and presentations for consideration and presentation by the CHRO.
* Organizes meetings including scheduling, reserving, and preparing rooms, preparing agendas, providing audio and video (AV) assistance, and coordinating catering for luncheons as necessary.
* Attends meetings as requested, and compiles, transcribes, and distributes minutes of the meeting to the appropriate individuals.
Minimum Qualifications* Previous experience in an administrative role is preferred, with a strong emphasis on clerical skills.
* Associate’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field preferred.
* Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) certification preferred.
* Successful experience as an administrative or executive assistant.
* Experience in Human Resources preferred.
* Experience with HRIS Data Base systems (One Solution, OnBase, NEOGOV) preferred.
* High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include MS Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive.
* Knowledge of the principles and practices of Human Resources preferred.
* Able to communicate technical information, both verbally and written, to staff in a non-technical manner.
