    The Position

    Supply Technicians participate in the procurement, receipt, storage, issuing, shipment, property control, inventory, and recordkeeping for a wide variety of assets to include, but not limited to, the following: property, equipment, services, food, forms, parts and supplies. Incumbents work in a warehouse, stockroom or office setting and prepare and process documents for the requisition, purchase, receipt, issuance and transfer of goods; expedite the flow of goods from vendor to user; and maintain control records for a variety of property and equipment.

    This position is located at High Desert State Prison (HDSP) in Indian Springs, NV. Incumbents will be responsible for the warehouse cleanliness and organization. The Supply Assistant will ensure inmates will not have warehouse access unattended. They are responsible for food/non-food purchases; purchasing forms are completed; properly stock all warehouse supplies; inventory system is maintained on all received and shipped items; ensure that item accountability, loss and damage control by inventory. *** THIS RECRUITMENT MAY CLOSE WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE DEPENDING ON THE NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS RECEIVED.     To Qualify:

    In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
    Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) Graduation from high school or equivalent education and one year of experience in stocking, shipping, issuing and receiving materials in a retail, storeroom or warehouse environment; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. Special Requirements A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant. This position require a valid driver's license at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. The Examination Application Evaluation Exam The exam will consist of an application evaluation. It is essential that applications include detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience. The most qualified applicants will be contacted by the hiring agency for interview. In contrast, the State's lowest point (along the Colorado River) is only 470 feet above sea level. From majestic mountains to desert valleys, nature has endowed Nevada with diverse and unique ecosystems.
