Performance Advisor to join our team!
The Performance Advisor will play an important role in designing and leading a variety of programs that drive retention, encourage personal and professional growth, and enhance engagement to achieve business outcomes.
This position will coordinate the annual performance review cycle and consult with employees and leaders to establish collaborative, meaningful performance goals and measures. This role will also design and implement initiatives that equip and empower leaders to set clear, meaningful performance goals and metrics aligned with organizational objectives, provide constructive feedback and coaching to support employee growth and development, and enable constructive performance conversations that build trust and enhance individual and team outcomes.
Additionally, the Performance Advisor will partner with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to develop, implement, and evaluate programs and initiatives that align employee engagement with business objectives to drive organizational success, such as:
- Enhance employee onboarding program to provide new employees with a seamless introduction to the organization so they supported, valued, and connected to our mission, vision and objectives.
- Design and implement award and recognition strategies that resonate with employees and reinforce our department’s values and strategic objectives.
- Coordinate annual employee engagement surveys through the Gallup platform, analyze and present results, and facilitate discussions regarding strategies to increase employee engagement.

Travel: The Capital Delivery Services Department is comprised of multiple facilities located throughout Austin. If you are selected for this position, and meet
the Driver Safety Standards in the City of Austin Driver Record Evaluation you may drive when necessary to multiple locations as part of your regular job duties. Otherwise, you are responsible for getting to and from these locations.
Hybrid Work Environment:The City of Austin Telework Program is designed to empower employees and leaders to establish hybrid work arrangements that promote high levels of performance and engagement. The City of Austin has an established work arrangement under which an employee is scheduled to work at least 2 days per week at their designated worksite. Some positions may require additional time at their designated worksite.
