    The Position

    Business Process Analysts apply an in-depth knowledge of the agency's program areas to define and implement a solution to a given problem that requires an individually tailored response for end-user requirements.

    The Division of Public and Behavioral Health Office of State Epidemiology is recruiting for a Business Process Analyst 1, located in Reno. The incumbent will be a member of our EpiTrax project team, supporting the daily operations of a highly complex data system. The Business Process Analyst will monitor the Electronic Laboratory Report and Electronic Case Report onboarding process from various providers, hospitals, and laboratories nationwide; Assist in the development of training materials and policies for Electronic Message Staging Area/EpiTrax users; Collaborate with team members to ensure timely access to ELR information for local health authorities and other stakeholders; Manage and maintain data exchange processes between the state, laboratories, and medical providers; Provide training and support to internal staff and external partners on data system usage; Communicate with relevant stakeholders, including the CDC and other states, regarding system upgrades and data sharing initiatives; Implement electronic messaging linkages, such as immunization data and electronic case reports, to enhance data availability and usability. ***THIS RECRUITMENT MAY CLOSE WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE DEPENDING ON THE NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS RECEIVED.     To Qualify:

    In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
    Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, public administration, management information systems, or other disciplines related to the assignment and one year of professional experience analyzing and interpreting program laws, regulations, policies and procedures, which included experience applying recognized data processing concepts to business process planning and analyses; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. Special Requirements A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for fingerprinting. The Examination Application Evaluation Exam The exam will consist of an application evaluation. It is essential that applications include detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience. The most qualified applicants will be contacted by the hiring agency for interview. On October 31, 1864, President Lincoln proclaimed Nevada's admission to the Union as the 36th state. The State's first elected Governor, Henry Blasdel, took office on December 5, 1864.

    Today, Nevada is the nation's seventh largest state in land area. Several hundred mountain ranges cross its landscape, many with elevations over 10,000 feet. In contrast, the State's lowest point (along the Colorado River) is only 470 feet above sea level. From majestic mountains to desert valleys, nature has endowed Nevada with diverse and unique ecosystems.
