San Bernardino County is recruiting for
Supervising Automated Systems Analysts I to manage networked information systems, functions, and services. Duties include evaluation, modification, implementation and oversight of complex networked computer systems and the distribution of PCs and other devices. Additionally, incumbents may supervise a technical staff, manage and maintain endpoint systems such as desktops, printers and various user based devices. This position will assist the IS service desk manager in maintaining service level agreements, asset inventory, and Help Desk tracking and support; determine departmental information technology (IT) needs, such as hardware requirements and capabilities; and recommend resolutions for hardware, software and network conflicts.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Pre-Employment Process: Prior to appointment, applicants must successfully pass a background check, which includes fingerprinting and a job-related medical exam.

Minimum Requirements REQUIRED EXPERIENCE : Two (2) years of full-time equivalent experience, within the last five (5) years, supporting computer applications (i.e., troubleshooting; assisting and instructing end-users on effective use; resolving problems).
Experience must include proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint use and experience with the following advanced functions: supporting Microsoft networked desktops; maintaining and supporting networking functions; supporting user access to file and print servers; utilizing Active Directory; coordinating migrations/upgrades; and assisting users with computer applications and desktop/helpdesk support.
-AND- REQUIRED EDUCATION : Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed, college level coursework in Information Technology OR Certification as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), CompTIA A+, or Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) certification.
Education Substitution : One (1) year of additional qualifying experience may substitute for the required education or certificate.
Desired QualificationsExperience with Microsoft Active Directory, Networking Technologies, Endpoint Support, Help Desk software with ITSM implementation and support, as well as a proficient troubleshooting skillset is highly desirable.
