Department of Public Health is seeking a
Public Health Project Coordinator to plan, develop, organize, direct and manage projects. Duties include identifying necessary personnel for project teams; direct the day-to-day activities required to keep projects on target; define project scope, objectives, and goals; conduct needs assessments and develop project plans and timelines; research, analyze and prepare recommendations regarding projects to department leadership; establish and maintain a system for tracking project activities, expenditures, contract requirements, grant requirements, progress, and outcomes; monitor and provide status updates on projects; participate in meetings; and serve as a liaison with county departments and divisions, community stakeholders, other local jurisdictions, and members of the public.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Pre-Employment Process: Prior to appointment, applicants must pass a background investigation which includes verification of employment history and education, fingerprinting, physical exam, and drug screening.
Travel: Travel throughout the County may be required and employees will be required to make provisions for such transportation.

Minimum RequirementsApplicants must meet both the Education and Experience requirements listed below: Experience: Two (
2) years of full-time equivalent project management experience in which the primary responsibility includes oversight and coordination of projects, defining project scope, and developing and meeting project timelines.

Substitution: One (1) additional year of qualifying experience can be substituted for the educational requirement listed below. Education: Thirty (30) semester or forty-five (45) quarter units of completed college coursework from an accredited college or university, in public, business or health administration; nursing; social work; epidemiology; health science; or a closely related field. Completion of the Management Leadership Academy (MLA) program in the County of San Bernardino will be accepted toward the required coursework on the basis of 4 quarter units of credit per MLA management or executive track completed.
*Note: A list of completed college coursework must be submitted with the application if the candidate does not possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in one (1) of the fields of study listed above. Unofficial transcripts are accepted. Selection ProcessThere will be a
