    Job Summary

    This position within the Catalog, Curriculum and Systems Management area plays a critical technical and analytical role in the development and maintenance of Student Records, Academic Advising and Campus Community modules of PeopleSoft and how they may relate to other PeopleSoft modules. This includes but is not limited to co-lead of the Student Records and Academic Advising module, running processes to update student records; security setup and monitoring; and support for other Student Information Systems Management duties. Co-lead of the Catalog and Curriculum team as the program administrator for the content management system, which is used to publish the catalog and interfaces with the University’s student information system. These assignments require understanding complex information system databases and relationships with those databases; university infrastructure, policies, procedures, and functions; maintaining, coordinating, and completing complex tasks; evaluation and decision making; coordinating workloads and meeting deadlines for assignments with accountability for the result.

    This position is dynamic, requiring the full range of work related to program and policy research, analysis, development, evaluation, support the day-to-day operations of the Catalog, Curriculum, and Systems Management areas within the Office of the Registrar under the general direction of the Associate Registrar.

    Department Summary

    Within Strategic Enrollment Management, the Office of the Registrar serves the entire campus community and its alumni. It is responsible for the integrity and maintenance of all aspects of the student academic record from the point of admission to the University, progressing through the evaluation of transfer credit, registration, program and enrollment changes, verification of enrollment activity, degree posting, diploma preparation, graduation, and transcript production. The Office of the Registrar is also responsible for the administration of the University’s courses, curricula, and academic scheduling that support student enrollment and progress to degree.

    Key Qualifications
    Manage, investigate, and analyze problems in the Student Records and Academic Advising modules of PeopleSoft. This includes but is not limited to registration, grading, catalog, curriculum, degree planner, degree audit, etc. Manage the day-to-day operations of the Catalog, Curriculum, and Systems Management areas within the Office of the Registrar serving as the first contact for issues related to Catalog, Curriculum, Student Records, and Academic advising modules. Assess, formulate, evaluate, and review new policies/executive orders to determine the impact to processes and analyze needs, recommend resources, and ensure quality delivery of problems identified. Review PeopleSoft and Courseleaf documentation on various websites and locally, review current issues log for known issues, rewrite business process guides if needed, review campus Academic Senate resolutions, review CSU Executive Orders and Coded Memorandums. Provide analytical data to executives and management regarding the goals and objectives of Catalog, Curriculum, and Systems Management areas and make strategic recommendations.
    Education and Experience
    • Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university. Four years of technical or administrative experience. A graduate degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

    Salary and Benefits

    Anticipated Hiring Range: $76,000 - $92,000 Per Year

    Classification Range: $66,444 - $120,168 Per Year
