        Full-time temporary position available on or after February 3, 2025 and ending on or before February 2, 2026 in Student Recruitment and Outreach. Appointment will be made for one year from date of hire with the possibility of reappointment and/or becoming permanent based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

        The Student Recruitment Coordinator is an entry-level role responsible for providing foundational student support services within the university. This position will provide a variety of services for prospective students and will strategize to identify particular communities of students and an appropriate recruitment plan. This position will provide a variety of campus information and services to prospective students and others interested in post-secondary education at Stanislaus State.

        The Student Recruitment Coordinator will work under close supervision and will receive training to develop their professional skills in student services. This role provides a foundational step within the Student Services Professional series, with opportunities for growth into SSP IB and higher-level positions that involve increasing responsibility, independence, and expertise in student advising and program management.
      • Job Duties
      • Duties include but are not limited to:
        • Provide basic information and guidance to students regarding university policies, degree programs, and available resources.
        • Assist students with problem-solving and decision-making related to their academic journey.
        • Establish and maintain direct contact with prospective students, their parents, counselors and teachers to promote post-secondary education and provide information regarding CSU admission requirements, procedures and timelines, financial aid programs, academic opportunities and student services available at Stanislaus State, through individual advising and group presentations.
        • Interview individual prospective students and review documents and forms required for CSU admission, financial aid, scholarships and other service opportunities.
        • Travel to assigned schools to provide outreach services related to CSU admissions, including in-class presentations, application workshops, college nights, and other college readiness events.
        • Track, follow up with, and communicate with prospective students, assisting them throughout the entire process from initial interest to enrollment.
        • Conduct interviews to gather information, clarify facts, and assist students in understanding program requirements and services available to them.
        • Support higher-level staff in coordinating events, workshops, and outreach activities to enhance student involvement and success.
        • Assist with on- and off-campus recruitment efforts, often on weekends, including events such as Preview Day, Open Houses, CLYC, Counselor Conferences, and Warrior Welcomes.
        • Assist with advising support for scheduled Saturday campus tours.
        • Gather and organize information, maintain accurate records of student interactions, and contribute to periodic reports on program activities and outcomes.
        • Other duties as assigned.
      • Minimum Qualifications
      • Education: Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences, public or business administration or a job related field. Specialized experience during which the applicant has acquired and successfully applied the knowledge and abilities shown above may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis.
        Experience: None Required.
      • Preferred Qualifications
        • Master’s degree in Education, Counseling, Higher Education Administration, or a related field.
        • Experience in academic advising, student services, or educational program coordination within higher education.
        • Experience working with community college systems and knowledge of Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT) requirements.
        • Prior experience in an educational or student services setting.
        • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred for effective communication with a diverse range of campus constituents and external partners.
      • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
        • Working knowledge of the basic principles of individual and group behavior.
        • Working knowledge of research and observation techniques for the purpose of recording, classifying, and interpreting factual information.
        • Working knowledge of the techniques and methods of interviewing.
        • Ability to gather and analyze data, ability to reason logically, draw valid conclusions and make appropriate recommendations.
        • Ability to participate in and contribute to group meetings, conferences and interviews.
        • Ability to clearly express ideas and recommendations orally.
        • Ability to write clear and concise reports.
        • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff and faculty.
      • Special Conditions
        • Ability to travel to off-campus sites.
        • Ability to work a flexible schedule (after hours, evenings and or weekends). Including campus events as needed.
      • License or Certifications
        • Valid California Driver's License.
      • Salary Range
      • Anticipated salary will be $3,952 - $4,347 per month plus excellent paid benefits. Salary will depend on the qualifications of the successful finalist. (Full Student Services Professional I/A range: $3,952 - $4,834 per month)
