    Job Summary

The City of Olathe is looking for an energetic individual to join our team as a Party Host at the Olathe Community Center. If you want to play a crucial role in helping us provide a clean, fun environment for party guests, our Party Host position may be just what you’re looking for!

    STARTING PAY: $15.50 AN HOUR

    The Party Room Host is the on-site liaison between the Community Center and party room rental clients. They coordinate room use for both internal and external clients, including set up support and dissemination of information concerning party room use. They are also responsible for the cleanliness of rooms, equipment, safety of the participants and maintaining a positive and healthy environment. This job requires flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provides exceptional customer service; demonstrating a positive attitude, displays professionalism, courtesy and assists customers and other employees; serves as a representative and liaison of the Community Center for party room rental clients; communicates room use and rental policies and procedures to users to keep use to appropriate time slot; distributes the appropriate wrist bands to all attendees per Center policies and procedures; follows and enforces applicable safety rules and regulations related to the use of the facilities.
    • Prepares room use to include setting table height, chairs, table cloths and other decorative needs; coordinates client's caterings and vendor contractor; maintains room cleanliness requiring sweeping, mopping, trash pick-up, and trash removal; assists renters with AV needs within room.
    • Compiles simple written records related to use of the party rooms.


    Qualifications

    Experience: No experience required.

    Education: Must be a high school or college student, at least 16 years of age.

    Licenses & Certifications: First Aid/CPR or ability to obtain within 30 days is required.
