The Role:The IT Project Manager will plan, execute, and supervise technology-related projects through defined objectives, deadlines, and budgets while ensuring quality control. This position will also manage resources and coordinate team and third-party contractors’ efforts to ensure accurate project delivery.
What You’ll Do: Keep in mind that this list is not all-inclusive.
- Plan and Execute IT Projects:
- Manage the IT project portfolio. Develop comprehensive project plans and schedules, including tasks, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Define and execute project scope, goals, and deliverables. Work with senior management and the technology governance committee to prioritize projects.
- Manage changes using appropriate documentation and approval processes.
- Monitor project budgets and provide financial reports for status.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
Lead Stakeholder Contributions and Communication:
- Coordinate project teams, ensuring roles and responsibilities are clear and resources are effectively utilized.
- Communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders promptly and continuously and deliver regular project status and risk management updates.
Implement Quality Assurance and Governance:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the project life cycle.
- Develop and implement risk management plans to ensure project success.
- Coordinate deliverables for regular IT audits that are driven by third-party audit firms. Ensure audit action items are implemented and documented as part of IT governance.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Manage IT risk register.
What We’re Looking For:- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- Demonstrated successful experience in IT project management role managing complex IT projects from conception to completion
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and software tools (e.g., Microsoft Project and Monday)
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and software development life cycles
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail
- Demonstrates a commitment to valuing differences among individuals and being inclusive
- Must be able to work outside of regular business hours when necessary
