    Unit Manager - IM Pavilion Clinic
    Lubbock

    Position Description
    Manages a unit within a department. Plans, organizes and develops goals and procedures for the unit. Represents the unit to administrators, outside agencies and others on relevant matters. Supervises subordinate staff.

    Major/Essential Functions
    -Supports the service plus philosophy of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center
    -Greet patients joyfully upon their arrival
    -Back up for incoming calls for the clinic when staff members are out
    -Notify patients of appointments by phone or letter Computer and telephone
    -Back up the front desk staff as needed
    -Back up for check in/out staff and collecting payments
    -Collaborates with department leadership team regarding clinic operations
    -Attends leadership meetings and participates in discussions
    -Handles patient concerns
    -Directly supervises all PSS staff, referral team, and managed care team
    -Responsible for recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and counseling team
    -Maintain appropriate staffing levels to appropriately meet patient's needs
    -Cerner registration/scheduling system lead for the clinic
    -Acts as a resource for the clinic and other TTP departments as needed
    -Build provider templates
    -Attends Monthly ACO meetings and works with nurse managers to resolve issues in accordance with the ACO
    -Daily Coordination with nurse managers regarding AWV and HOF


    Required Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree plus three years supervisory experience; OR a combination of education and/or supervisory experience to equal seven years.
