General Description and Classification Standards
Advises the Sr. Director of Parking & Ground Transportation and provides extensive knowledge and recommendations on Parking and Ground Transportation Operational Management and Contractor Oversight with a specific focus in Stakeholder Engagement and Permitting. This is a professional position requiring experience in the areas of Business Administration, Customer Service, and Stakeholder Relationship Management.
The Assistant Director implements operating policies and procedures, plans, and manages budgets, directs permitting operations, develops leadership and technical talent, develops and implements capital projects, and monitors and measures performance of the permitting functions of the Department to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business/Fiscal Management or related discipline
• 5-7 years of experience at the mid-manager level in management in customer service or permitting.
• 3+ years of direct people/teams management experience
• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships.
Preferred Requirements (s eparate from minimum requirements and not required to qualify for the job)
• Advanced degree preferred
• 2 years of airport management experience
