GENERAL PURPOSE: Under close supervision, perform basic and routine functions such as providing reception and customer service, receipt and processing of forms/data/records; data input; and file storage and retention. This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills; attention to detail; and a positive, can-do attitude toward providing exceptional customer service.
Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe following duties

- Perform clerical and administrative duties including data entry, record keeping, data collection, and utilize computer tracking systems
- Prepare and maintain all required documentation for onboarding processes
- Organize, file, and maintain storage of documents
- Review file storage and purge files according to records retention procedures
- Receive and distribute mail (interoffice, post-office, electronic, etc.)
- Maintain office supply orders and inventory
- Answers HR main phone line and forwards calls to appropriate staff members as needed. Provide information and assistance to customers and respond to requests for information.
- Sends forms and emails to mass applicant batches through NEOGOV
- Responds to employment verification
- Creates ID badges for employees and contractors
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications & Position RequirementsEducation and Experience:High School diploma or GED equivalent and one (1) year of general office and/or customer service experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

12 Month Goals:- Learn the primary duties and responsibilities of the position to include: performing clerical and administrative duties including data entry, record keeping, data collection, onboarding, answering phone calls and supporting the Human Resources Department
- Learn policies procedures, processes, and technologies used in the Human Resources Department and City of Buckeye.
- Develop positive working relationships with city employees and deliver excellent customer service and guidance to departments and external partners of the City of Buckeye.
